Holiday Shipping Issues

Posted by Duston Barto on

We know many of you are frustrated with delays in packages.  We are too!  We have had such wonderful relationships with our local post office employees and have never seen any problems until the last few weeks.

Lately we have been checking status updates like this.

While USPS in general is suffering massive delays (see this article by the Washington Post), our local distribution center is particularly hard hit. Greensboro, NC has made national news for the postal gridlock it is experiencing due to federal and state Covid restriction guidelines and staffing level issues.

Unfortunately there is NOTHING that we can do.

If you want a better shot of getting items by December 25th, then upgrading the shipping here on the website to an express service by UPS or FedEx is the only way for that to happen.  Even USPS Priority mail has been taking 10-14 days to deliver. The mail system is overloaded and the employees are probably ready for a vacation.

While we do sympathize, we cannot be held responsible for delays once packages are in the hands of the delivery service.

Additionally, please verify your addresses and don't assume that PayPal has updated to your current address if you've moved anytime within the last year.  Once a package has been delivered to an incorrect address there is nothing anyone can do.  If we make the mistake, however, we will make it right.

Please be patient, everything that has shipped will get to you as quickly as these bizarre circumstances allow.  We are still shipping every M-W-F and if you pay of express delivery, we will ship it as soon as humanly possible on the same day or early the next day.

As always, we thank you very much for your business, we appreciate every single one of you!
